Laps for labs!

One of the main arms of research undertaken at the Perkins Institute, is in Cardiovascular medicine, which I've been so fortunate to be able to spend lots of time in. Every day I get to learn from, and work with the best, and most dedicated cardiovascular surgeons, and researchers.
So to give back all that I've been so lucky to receive, this year, I'm going back in to the pool (something I said I would never do!) to do laps for the labs! It's a 12-hour overnight swim, I'm just slightly petrified, but thankful I have some amazing team mates to do it with me. Because, let's be honest, my worry about having to do a long, overnight swim, will be nothing compared to the pain, fear, and anxiety when someone hears those words 'You have cancer' or 'You have cardiovascular disease'.

My swim would ensure that we are helping all those suffering with a serious disease to be able to get the most advanced treatment. So, come down and swim with me, or donate to my good cause!
