Leonora (Leo) Nye

I’m on a mission to beat the world's toughest diseases – one lap at a time.

This year marks 20 years since I lost my father to cancer and only 22 months after that, my mother also lost her fight to the disease.

The incredible work being done at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research impacts the lives of people globally through groundbreaking research which enables the development of new treatments to fight cancer and other diseases.  I'm passionate about the importance of medical research and showcasing what is happening on our doorstep in Western Australia.

I am taking on the Perkins Plunge to raise vital funds for WA medical research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

I’m swimming through the night to help WA’s best medical researchers. The funds I raise will support the brilliant minds at the Perkins who are committed to finding breakthroughs that will lead to maybe even cures for the hardest-to-treat diseases.

Please join me in the pool or contribute to my fundraising page, your generous support matters now but, more importantly, safeguards our future health.

Together, we’re helping WA’s best researchers beat the world’s toughest diseases.
