I’m on a mission to beat the world toughest diseases – one lap at a time.
No one wants to hear those terrible words... it’s cancer... or it’s heart disease... or diabetes or worst still – we don’t know what it is.
No one should have to suffer or worry about their loved ones’ suffering.
That’s why I am taking on the Perkins Plunge to raise vital funds for WA medical research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
I’m swimming for my life and the lives of those I love because I know that there are no advances in medicine without medical research and there’s no medical research without people like you and me taking action.
I’m committing to the Perkins Plunge and swimming through the night in the middle of winter to help WA’s best medical researchers beat the world’s toughest diseases – life-threatening diseases that have taken so much from us.
Whether it is a loved one, family member, friend or much closer to home, when you’re faced with a serious disease, it infiltrates all parts of your life. And that’s not fair.
The funds I raise through the Plunge will go to the brilliant minds at the Perkins who are committed to finding breakthroughs that will lead to improved health outcomes for those affected by the hardest-to-treat diseases.
Whether you join me in the pool (I’d love the company) or contribute to my fundraising page, your generous support matters now but more importantly to our future health.
Together, we’re helping WA’s best researchers beat the world’s toughest diseases.
